On the basis of outstanding performance of the steel-clad carbon fiber composite core, ASCC combines the advantages of ACSR and ACCC. By reducing the quantity of steel, ASCC effectively reduces line loss and enables energy conservation and emission reduction, and thus is a qualified solution to achieve green development and dual carbon goals. ASCC enjoys better stress sag and high-temperature sag and can be applied in power transmission of new energy and other multi-condition scenarios concerning energy conservation. Under the same requirement of mechanical performance, ASCC sees higher proportion of aluminum section in the total area of cross section while its capacity can be boosted by 2 to 3 times via increasing the running temperature. ASCC enjoys good flexibility and bending resistance so that the risk of core breakage during construction and operation is reduced.
